The University of Baguio School of Nursing (SN) rallied behind its graduates in a grand send-off activity the day before the annual board exam was set to take place.
Held on November 10, 2023 at the Lafaayette Luxury Suites Baguio, the event saw in attendance over a hundred nursing alumni who were set to take the board exam over the weekend on November 11 and 12. Of the 134 graduates present, 108 were first-time board takers, while 26 were retakers.
Dean Helen Alalag and Program Chair Elton John Delos Santos offered their sincere support and faith in their alumni, expressing their pride in them as former nursing students and imbuing them with the courage to have confidence in the knowledge and skills that they’ve learned and honed throughout their academic journey with the university.
The event also welcomed industry partners from Cardinal Santos Hospital in Manila, The Medical City Clark in Clark, Pampanga, and Talent Angels in Singapore. Representatives from each organization gave an overview of the services and training that they offered to their career partners, opening up the professional world for the students who would be looking forward to jump-starting their careers after taking the board examination.
The send-off activity is a yearly activity for the School of Nursing. It is one of the ways the university continues to support its students even after they graduate. This activity and many others have always had the goal of uplifting the students and building a robust foundational system behind them that will continue to encourage and strengthen their capabilities as professionals in the field of nursing. As the university continues to send off new nurses every single year, the School of Nursing will always be present to offer its heartfelt support and unwavering dedication toward building competent and highly skilled professionals.
